<<Qualcomm HDR and Globalstar.
Does anyone know whether it will be possible to use HDR devices through Globalstar? >>

I have seen nothing to indicate that HDR will be available on this GlobalStar constellation. The CDMA technology being used for GlobalStar is NOT exactly the same stuff being used for terrestrial wireless phones. It is not the same as the two line digital spread spectrum cordless phone (with call-waiting caller ID, no less) I just bought for the kitchen. All of these systems, while having many common theoretical underpinnings, are optimized for their particular function, and GlobalStar was not optimized for data. Maybe GlobalStar II will.

I think we are stuck waiting for the second generation "constellation" of G* to get HDR.

Anyone know for sure ?

Jon.
