>>CF management is doing an infinitely better job of figuring out the future of this brand new business than any of us armchair CEOs.

Agree to disagree on this point. If they had a seasoned management team they would not be in this circumstance.

Otherwise, if you like being blindsided with two good announcements followed by a left jab and an uppercut stick with this management team.

Really zuma, I gotta say something

>>Oh, but I forget - we need to swing into and out of the stock at every opportunity, pay 30% or 39% percent of our short-term gains to the government

It's like what tom is talking about and all that voodoo mojo. Thing is now, our humps are getting closer together, and becoming more violent(both ways). Like it or not, ckfr is entering into the arena of the 'nuts, and will be looked upon as such. by investors and traders alike(that's why I got a sour taste with the subscriber growth)

It's not a bad thing to shuffle things around once in a while, like you were talking about in a post a couple days back just because you can.

And I'll say this as well, I have never been so in love with a company(even my favorite blue chips), but I tend to look upon the stock as just another symbol.

Would I have done better in the past two years just hollding this stock and not shuffling it around? No. In fact, if I had sold just one other time on the voodoo, I'd not have died that fatal August evening when I was drinking everything I could get into. But it taught me something. Something I already knew, but I guess in reality, I'm the kind that learns from his own mistakes. Those are the ones for me that teach me the most. Teach me about myself, and my boundries.

If folks were to simply take their "internet blinders" off, you'd see that a double or so since the IPO three years ago ain't too shabby, and you could have done much better if you had the fortitude to buy on the slide down to $6 bucks (shucks - let's just round that one down to a quadruple in only two years)...

Again, like it or not, we're being looked upon as a 'nut. might as well change the symbol to ckdc, 'cause that's the road we're seen driving on. As far as quads and tripples, ask Tom or dave s. they know all about them. I think I only have 4 this year(ckfr one of them). But if you double something twice, that's close enough, so I figure I got close to 6 or 7 or more. it's not all bad giving uncle same 40% of 600%.

P.S. When you enter a position in a stock, do you ask yourself "What do I want from this?" I sure do. <end of story>

Totally agree with this. I had an average cost in my IRA of about $23 two years ago. I've left those shares there the whole time but by buying every time there's a big move down and selling when I've picked up a few $K I figured I've lowered my cost to about $8. I expect this stock to go up substantially long term, so if my timing is off on a buy I just figure I'll have to hold longer than I planned. I've found that working CKFR this way lets me keep my long term optimism and makes the dips something to look forward to. I'm not that bright either - got this from others on this thread.

In another account, I put $1500 into CKFR at $9 last August to help fund a family reunion. I got the quad you mention and then some. I've already pulled out enough to pay the rent on a house in the rockies for everyone. Now I'm working on the air fare.

The action is frustrating, but I don't see how that or the other things happening in this business leads to the extreme opinions about management. If you want to see inept management, take a look at Compaq. They've thrown away a terrific franchise and not just their own - Tandem and Digital's too! It would be like CKFR buying both TP and Spectrum and then finding a way to fail in EBPP.

Point is, CKFR has made me more money than anything else I've ever invested in and at this point I'm sitting on a good size holding with minimal cost. One more swing and it will be free.
