hi pat,

good luck with NN, i bailed today for another play...lots of troubles behind closed doors and TM seems to be going out of his way to hint he isn't talking to anyone about a takeover....the risk is just a bit too high for me....earnings will be bad but that is no surprise....if there isn't a takeover i think NN will fall to th 16 level and trade sideways for a while....so the odds are a bit too much on the negative side.....but if your long and not worried about the short term then just hang in there..who knows there could be a deal sitting on the table....if there isn't a deal by monday i doubt there will be one anytime soon

It's time to wake up and stop pretending the problems are small and time to refuse easy answers from anyone wanting us to believe they are.

Sorry to be so blunt but I'm tired of people being hurt because a band of full grown adults is making bad decisions based on dubious motives. I hope the board of directors is listening because when all is said and done that's where the buck stops.

The kind of courage that's required has nothing to do with nationality and a lot to do with who we are when the lights go down and the music stops.

The next few days will tell a lot

Pat, well said... I wouldn't be holding out much hope for anyone TM, the board, whomever really stepping up. They'll be a lot of promises, lots of talk about change, positive direction...blah, blah, blah. Unless there are hard answers to the questions you posed and a few others I can think of the whole thing is just a blast of gas.

I had speculated on some Nov15 calls when the stock hit $15, but, I sold them yesterday and took the money. If my guess is right the stock will dip down again the next few weeks and then they'll be a new round of takeover speculation. Very similar to FORE, in that sense. Though, the management scenario is straight out of the Benson play book("its my company and I'm in charge!!").

Hi Pat - As always, your insights merit attention. As you know, from my previous msgs, I find NN compelling but subject to the whims of a thousand-pound personality.

I have NO idea which scenario I presented will prevail - probably be something entirely different. The actual earnings number will be interesting. Will they beat the "warning number" or decide to write off the kitchen sink.

Aside from the possibility of a short drop resulting from a real dud on Thursday, I think the bad news and more is already in the price of the stock. Oh well, you pays your money and takes your chances.

I think I differ with you on one point. For all Terry's faults, he wasn't the one promising a rose garden the past few months - it was Mr. Lutz. Personally, I'd be more likely to buy something from the sales manager on WKRP.

Hey, we all got opinions :-)

Mike
