JMD: Looks like we are the last ones at the party. When are they going to turn out the lights?

I still believe in the ability of the market to see the value in the sector. I think Loral is easily the most compelling value right now so I'm still in. I would have much preferred for Bernie (is that okay Dfly?) to have realized the political mistake of being the largest Democratic contributor. I would have rather not had the Zenit go boom. (But at the current rate of role out, could they have made a year earlier start date?) I would have rather the Chinese learn to solider on their own. I would question using Delta 3 for Orion. I would have liked to see the Russians and the US play nice and establish a TSA earlier than the did.

But looking at all these events, I can say that the plan had its value. Had other people not failed to deliver, the results would be much different. But that is part of the business and investment world: other people and other influences act on your choices.

From a simple 'odds' stand point, the future has got to be better!

So here we are today at this point, for whatever reasons. The questions then become: what has changed and what are the prospects of success?

From my stand point only the time frame has changed. It has slide to the right. Yes, Loral has been 'dead money' for some time. But my time horizon supports the wait.

We got to the party early - we started at Happy Hour. It is now late and the crowd is starting to thin out. But the only people who left were other Happy Hour folks, and you know they have no staying power. They are the ones who have day jobs and families and are no real good at partying anyhow. We need to have another beer and wait on the late night crowd. You know the ones that showed up over at the Qualcomm party last time. The wild ones who really liven up the joint and party until the wee hours! It will only take another beer. If they dont show up, we can call it a night. That is what I am going to do. I'll sit here and nurse this beer until next year and just see who shows up.
