I'm not certain... but I think its a plus
for DMIC... at least in the short term.

CSCO's new products are a result of their
purchase of Clarity and they use Clarity's
Vector OFDM (VOFDM) technology. (If you
know how VOFDM differs from standard OFDM,
please clue me in.) Initially, they'll be
in the MDS band. My guess is that they'll
be going after "last mile" connections
while DMIC can fill in the backbone. In
any case, DMIC has a full product line
while CSCO isn't even close to that...
so I don't expect CSCO to be much (if any)
competition for DMIC and they may even
spur a few extra sales for DMIC.

Note the news on the sale of DMIC shares
(which I'll post in the next message).
This should net DMIC at least $50 million
and I expect they'll use this cash
to acquire some PMP technology. Filling
this hole in their product line will
really move up the share price... so
I see this sale as a great initial step.
