Buckey you are absolutely right about finding a clean industry when you look at the full life cycle of everything that flows into that industry. Take GLE for example, it probably takes some nasty chemical processing to produce some of the input materials to their fuel cell (which I love to bits by the way). If I compare the end result of SOFC then it is probably a net win for the environment and all concerned. However, gold is slightly different matter -- is the environment cost of the way many (not all) gold operators extract gold really worth the beauty of the jewelry? That is what the anti gold movement that has started is pushing imo. So, this is just a heads-up that you might want to factor into your investment decisions.

Personal choice of course! I'm hiding in the back woods of NH today -- you know "Live Free or Die" country, eh. But don't get me started on seal pups either. Or the lead French protestors crying for seal pups while pushing down gluttenous amounts of goose vomit or perfectly white veal.... oh dear, i got my self start.... sorry
