Crying is good.

I just couldn't bring myself to cry
when the guy stops me for going 3 mph
over the limit. I couldn't believe
he was actually serious about giving me
a ticket.

The only time that I got out of a ticket was driving from my home in L.A. to Santa Barbara (that use to be my commute). I got pulled over in Camarillo by a real stoic looking cop. He asked me if I knew why he pulled me over.
I responded with "Probably for a couple of reasons",
he said "and they would be?"
I said "speeding and tailgating"
He then lectured me on why tailgating was so dangerous (I agree) and then said "here is the deal, have you ever heard of rock, paper, scissors?"
I said hesitantly "yeeessss"
He said "if I win, you get a ticket, If you win, no ticket"
I said "are you serious"
he said "yes"

Long story short, I picked scissors and he picked paper. I didn't get a ticket.

Not only didn't I get a speeding ticket but I got the officer to apologize for pulling me over...

...I did deserve the ticket and I felt moderately guilty for about 2 seconds.
