Processors from Intel's .18 process, on second and third generation chipsets, achieve rough parity with chips built on AMD's .25 process running on a 1.0 chipset. And given the current availability situation, it doesn't look like Intel was really ahead of AMD in getting out .18 parts, either. You can buy a 700MHZ Athlon and get it today - when Intel manages to ship more than samples of the Coppermine, we'll see what AMD is shipping to compete with it. Dan
