Cirruslvr, the reason for NTAP's word of caution on the rate of growth is simple: Historically they have been growing at about an 80% rate. This quarter's 90% has NOT been explained away by management as a aberation caused by Y2K or anything, but they do NOT want the market to expect such growth going forward. Their internal goals remain a 100% growth rate, btw.

Think about how CSCO manages expectations. The CFO of CSCO is on NTAP's board. The ex-Chairman of the Board of CSCO is the Chairman of NTAP's board (Valentine). So it is safe to say that NTAP will manage market expetcations much as CSCO does--no surprises.
