RE: "What impresses me is that Intel is having trouble keeping up with Pentium III demand"

DMF,

I agree - I like hearing about good demand - especially in areas where margins are probably good. I bought some INTC leaps yesterday when the stock price dropped to 74.

Regards,
Amy J

Hi dmf, Re Paul Otellini,

BTW, I liked Otellini's characterization of Intel's recent directions as taking advantage of obvious synergies rather than
an attempt to diversify out of fear.

The CNBC interview was live yesterday. I have to admit I liked the cool, matter of fact manner of addressing questions.
Twas a nice change from breathless hype.

I like him also. He has a little more charisma or something than Barrett, certainly more than Mary's fave Andy Bryant. I've heard Otellini may be next in line at Intel. He'd be the first non-PHD scientist/engineer type to be CEO at Intel. I still hope Barrett has a good long tenure at CEO, though.

What impresses me is that Intel is having trouble keeping up with Pentium III demand as well as all Coppermines.

"Classic" PIII and even PII were said to be tight! Never a dull moment with Intel. Cisco has gotten boring by comparison. I can take Cisco kind of boring too, though!
