Bob, overall not much quarrel with your post, except for equating the IDX and NRID arrangements with Novell. While NRID announced a Novell-compatible product and got a pat on the back Novell quote, it didn't quite achieve what IDX did in the link you provided: "Identix's BioLogon synergistic solution will be sold in the Novell trade-dress and with the Identix trade-brand." In other words, after the NRID deal, Novell agrees to market the IDX product with the Novell imprimateur. How likely is it that Novell is supplier-neutral, and how likely is it that NRID has, from a marketing standpoint, just been thrown overboard?
