Fibre Channel Sector vs. Pure NAS

At noon today, the FC sector in general is off 2 - 5% on low volume according to the companies I follow, compared to pure NAS plays NTAP and ASPX which are up 6 - 10%. On the ASPX thread someone has posted an analyst report with George Gilder's comments on NAS. This may be presumptive evidence of some impact, however ramping FC sales will be difficult to deny.

I also had some time to look at the "competition" sections on the SEC documents of both NTAP and ASPX and they are basically the same competitors you find for everybody in the storage sector big platform providers: IBM, Sun, HP, Cisco, companies that make open storage solutions: EMC and Data General, and a number of companies who make PC based file servers.
