mm- Vol may not be 100% right but I doubt he would claim to be. My view for what its worth:- 1. Vol has been right about the overall moves ie the general direction. 2. Vols point about the MMs is on balance and on reflection right. I've been thinking about it for quite a time and it seems to me that there are timesin the life of a stock when the MM can seriuosly influence the price. Take the Q right now. My guess is that most of the buyers who wanted stock are now in and quite a few momos as well. So now we wait for the handset announcement and in the meantime as Vol says there is a calender and its option day on Friday. So result is no or very few buyers. So the MM lowers the bid and gues what ....some weak holder sells lowers it again and more aellers appeaer as they get scared of losing gains and so on. Now you can't play that game when the buyers are buying but you can when there aren't any buyers. So the logic is there and Vol has highlighted it and developed it. Now it may be that the MMs can really go to town in this kind of situation and Vol may have knowledge of that and so my guess is that he is right. Best regards, L
