CrossKeys Sells Altus Product Line to Altus Solutions
KANATA, Ontario & VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1999--CROSSKEYS(NASDAQ:CKEY - news; TSE:CKY. - news)

CrossKeys Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:CKEY - news; TSE:CKY - news) announced today that is has sold its Altus intellectual property and assets to Altus Solutions Inc. Financial terms for the agreement were not disclosed.

Altus Solutions Inc. was formed by former CrossKeys employees earlier this year. The new company has commenced operations and will continue providing voice traffic performance management solutions for telephone companies worldwide. Altus Solutions will continue to distribute Altus products through Compaq, and work jointly with Compaq to pursue business opportunities that build upon the already established product success.

It's obvious Crosskeys price is still stucked with NN share price. We might suffer from this at least for the short term. From this perspective, we could expect the CKY to go back to 5$ CAN. If NN is taken out, that would be great ! CKY would get an even stronger partner.

What will be interesting, though, is that the quarter is ending November 30, and revenue growth might differ from NN.

Re:Altus sale, do anyone remember % of sales Compaq was generating buying Altus products ? It seems like the sale a wise decision...

It all depends. CKEY is busy trying to break free of the NN shadow trying to diversify its revenue streams. A low stockprice means NN customers might look else where, meaning we get shot down. A NN buyout means new board members, new direction (maybe) and throws uncertainty onto the whole thing meaning a lower stock price for us.

Really we're at NNs mercy.
