<Buying calls!> Article on DJ this afternoon about the DPM in Qualcomm going for big coin selling premium...because of this covering, prices of options [premium] imply HUGE moves right now....... this is the highest implied volatility {DEC options} on qualcomm options since the IPO. IVOL has DOUBLED in 10 days.. Dec. 400's close around $16 for 4 weeks of play. JMO, but I wouldn't touch the options with a 10 foot pole, and I've been here very recently saying that Q options weren't worth selling. Well the whole thing has flipflopped, Buywriting is now a great strategy at these prices if you're bullish, buying calls or puts is dangerous. "You're trying to buy insurance during the earthquake" is the analogy.... what kind of price you think you're going to get??? DAK
