Re: "They started 0.18æ CuMine production six months ago for mobile parts. What gives?"

Petz, they started production 6 months ago on the Dixon mobile processor, not the CuMine. As you no doubt know, CuMine had some problems which delayed it's introduction, so they didn't have a production version until recently. As has been stated many times before but I guess it will have to be said again, Intel's fabs run multiple processes concurrently. They are running flat out 100% totally booked. They aren't going to stop production and convert over to a new process all at once. They don't work that way. As I understand it, the development fab in Oregon where PB works has been running the production lots while the other fabs are just now ramping. Yes this was an atypical product introduction and who can deny that it was hurried due to Athlon pressure? I know it was as well as you. Nevertheless I believe the ramp is underway and I don't believe the rumors of yield problems or binsplit problems. They are starting to show up now.
