Thanks Richard... no basket for me...I am really looking for one issue that offers the best chances of making $$ in the next 2-3 months.

Investment Idea/Talisman Energy

If you don't mind some risk. I like Talisman Energy. It has a great up side with the Sudan play, if the politicians leaves this company alone. Kerm has an excellent article on this company today

Hi Richard, I also bought Merit recently, basically because the price is so depressed relative to their sales and asset base. Also hopefully now that the trouble is out in the open things will improve. However the continued decline is making me nervous. How are you playing this? Was this a short-term or long-term play for you? Have you sold, or are you determined to hold on?

Hopefully Merit won't go the way of Philip Services!

By the way, what's the problem with natural gas prices lately? A few months ago I heard all kinds of optimism about gas this winter but now it seems to be all quiet on the western front...
