Howard: Yes, incredibly quiet. This is it for S.I., plus some discussion on StockHouse, though no wild activity. Personally, I don't care as long as RIM just keeps moving up. Looking forward to what Dell has to say. Also, once RIM hits CDN$100, I'd expect a stock split.

Congrats to all. I have been away and returned to find out that we are up nicely. YAHOOOO!!! Howard you are right this is fairly quiet thread and the volumes for RIM are not that high on the TSE for a stock like this . Perhaps because there is also the NASDAQ listing. I have purchased a few times with the intention of selling a little back in but I can never pull the trigger. So I keep holding. Call options are now a good thought but may be better priced after a little retracement.Anyway, staying long for now.
Maybe after a split.

I'm a little confused. The "rumoured" deal with Dell is for the use of RIM's technology, right? Will Dell implement the technology into it's own computers? Or, will Dell be buying these Blackberry's from RIM for its own use? Or, will RIM be using some of Dell's technology for use in its Blackberry units?

If Dell were to purchase units from RIM how many units would they have to buy to make this stock gap up even further? Bell South has an apparent renewal for 250K units. I would imagine that if Dell approached anywhere near these figures the stock would double??

What if Dell only purchased 500 units, similar to the news released about the law firm in the U.S.?? That would be insignificant. What about if it were 10K, 20K or 100K??

The news on Yahoo indicated that RIM was looking for a distribution channel and that hooking up with Dell would make sense for both parties.

It must be evident I'm confused!!
