Tony - Re: ". Are Sun and Intel stocks moving in the wrong direction? "

Intel's is !

SUN apparently isn't selling systems based on PERFORMANCE so much as scalability and software support.

The Solaris OS seems to be the Keys To The Kingdom for sun, and their Server business is going great guns.

Intel's "problem" is that it is completely contaminated with the PC association.

Intel = PCs = AMD = Heading For The Toilet.

Intel needs to do some serious MARKETING or Public Relations to the extent that it is in the SERVER and INTERNET business.

Maybe they should convene a meeting of INTERNET analysts up at some resort - Silverado ?? - and CLUE THEM IN - show them the check book balance, product portfolio, etc.

Tony,

Do you or anyone else have any idea what Sun's strategy will be to deal with a Intel server 13 times faster than a comparably priced Sun Microsystems server?
