Congratulations, Uncle...
And I dont think this "experiment" is an experiment any more.
It works...
To all who follow my posts and have been watching me learn to invest.
I now know that "buy and hold" is just fine, as long as its gorillas you are buying and holding.
LEAPS are a great way to (fairly safely) escalate your winnings, but again, must be on a gorilla to maximize reward.
Mistakes are for learning: the more painful the mistake the better you learn, as long as you analyze it and figure out a motto from it.
(I bought Q at 394 recently and learned that even a gorilla should not be bought after a big runup. And cash should be held for dips. Gorillas are particularly prone to big corrections because they go up so fast there are many "weak hands".)
Gotta go to my reflexology session (a delightfully painful, low cost and non intrustive way to cure many ills)...more later.
Best to all.
I'm sort of glad I 'm not 100% Q at the moment, I'm having such fun with Ctxs and Gmst!

Regarding the tekboy incident (and please note that about 20 of us have been involved, so these comments are not aimed at anyone in specific!):

Sir Ares made a grievous error based on enthusiasm and a desire to share information with his threadmates.

He has admitted this error publicly, and at his request, the offending post has been removed from the thread.

The people who brought this to our attention were correct in doing so, and may have saved tekboy from litigation.

Gilder has attracted an extremely loyal group of subscribers due to the brilliance of his vision. The folks who complained were trying to protect the Gilder's ipr and support him, much in the manner that we support each other.

To their credit, the Gilderites have not pressed the issue once tekboy took appropriate action.

It's in the interest of everyone concerned to have this confrontation end. Since we have many Gilder subscribers as threadmates, it is an unproductive intramural contest.

Let's get on with sniffing out Gorillas.
