Glenn:
1.) An Intel distributor will have CC820 mobo by Friday. VC820 still AWOL. CC820 will be used to replace BX board with CUMine chips. They expect CA810e to replace both BX and CA810 mobos very soon.
VC820 will be strictly for hi end applications @ 733 MHz. They can not predict when they will be available.

2.) Updated Intel desktop roadmap as of Oct 27.

Take home story:
Intel depending on 810e chipset for 700 MHz and below during 00 (under $1,800 system price).
Intel depending on 820 and 840 chipsets for 733 MHz and above during 00 (above $1,800 system price).

Timna on the board as Processor at the entry performance and cost level in 2H00. It will definitely be SDRAM.
7 Willamette is on the board in 2H00 as highend desktop solution above 1 gHz.
I think Intel's roadmap is very conditional on AMD's price/performance points in the future. Intel may be forced to sell 700+ MHz solutions to mass market with accelerated discounts to their original plans if AMD delivers in volume and drops prices and Intel is forced to do likewise.

Any ideas on market share of 700+ MHz systems that will be using RDRAM. My feeling is about 10-15% by 2H00. In July, we were expecting 40-50% market share RDRAM by 2H00. It is realistic to expect about 10 million RDRAM PC's to be sold in 00.
I am realistically reducing my expectations for RMBS by a large amount which means 90-100 is the top for a long while. I see real problems dealing with bad news from here on.
Up to now, I was looking for option premium income from going long via short PUTs. I am done with that strategy and looking to go naked short Calls when it looks like RMBS is under pressure. As of this afternoon, it looks like that time has come.
