I don't read anything into his below statement other than what it says. It does not say anything about the announcement coming before the end of the year. It says he hopes to reach an agreement by the end of the year. I think the closing of the sale will definitely take many more weeks after the terms are announced. "These negotiations are proceeding well," he said. "We still hope to conclude an agreement before the end of the year, but it will probably close in the first quarter of next year."
