KingTutt: Great explanation - very lofty. Actually the only thing that I see holding MSFT back is not the market place but the courtroom as MSFT's "innovative" competitors having failed to reign in MSFT in the marketplace took to the political arena and finally the courtroom. It would appear from all the reviews that W2K is an outstanding server/networking product and will generate enormous revs. There other initiatives put them in the van of the real areas of internet commerce (not the gee whiz Comdex stuff) and will bear much fruit in terms of continued bottom line growth. They will certainlyy derive almost 100% margins from the renting of Office over the net and probably no self respecting site will not have a gateway to this great revenue generating service. MSN even in the opinion of Jesse Worst MSN seems to be getting it right and they will become an increasingly more important factor in that marketplace than they are today.

Actually I was looking for the specific reason of why on a no news day MSFT would be down when there was no catalyst.

But I do appreciate your taking the time to warn me on the imminent demise of MSFT. JFD

Charles you hit the nail on the head. The justice department is not Msft's #1 problem.
