I only got the chance to listen to this interview this morning. I agree there are a lot of good info, namely about their new products such as eSNAPP, sqlbase safeguard. These are some points I grabbed from this radio interview (www.radiowallstreet.com) ( I don't know why I'm doing this again, but what the heck…… ) ---He emphasized that Centura used to sell parts, but now it becomes a solution provider. --- eSNAPP is a server-centered model, in another word: thin client. ---There are three ways to use information appliance devices: 1) always connected to network, don't need database sit on the client. 2) Occasionally connected to sever 3) enterprise logic or business intelligence send the requirements to so-called on-demand clients. eSNAPP supports all these three solutions. --- Centura's the only database company that is capable of encrypting data on data engine, Sqlbase safeguard is able to keep data protected, only decrypt when you need to use it. This can be an ecommence security solution. I'll try to add more when I got the chance.
