I recieved the following question.
Tech Q, how to setup dual-head monitor Linux under KDE.

My answer.

Kde is a window manage like fvwm. To do multidisplay you need an Xserver that
supports multidisplay and video cards that are supported by the Xserver you
choose. Xig metro-x are commercial and support multi display. Xfree86 4.0 also
supports multidisplay, may be still be beta. But Xfree84 supports what's call
Xerama which is multible displays as a single desktop and xig supports multible
display where each display is a separate server. My description of how I use
fvwm at watman.com makes more sense for the xig model. I have
win98 multidiplay that functions with both displays as one desk and I find that
several of the apps don't let you use the second display.

But KDE argh,,,, it's a pig compared to fvwm.
