What they point to and the reason many use them is that they demonstrate the AJ&DOJ and agencies under them do make mistakes and in some cases don't tell the truth even when under oath. It is a simple reminder that we should not necessarily take everything the AJ/DOJ presents as the truth or as fact. Especially in a the high tech arena where arguably their experience and expertise level is lower than it is for "police actions" as you call it.

CT:Indeed they are unfortunate incidents as was the idea of pursuing this case to a lose (MSFT) - lose(Consumer)-lose(Shareholder)-lose(US Industry)- lose(politically) situation that we find ourselves presently embroiled in.

In your opinion it is OK for Clinton WH involvement after the fact in the MSFT judicial procedings but it is just an unfortunate lapse of judgement in the Waco,Jewel, Ruby Ridge things. What are you talking about? Their judgement was flawed with respect to the attacks on Waco,RR, and Jewel and sending DOJ after MSFT was equally flawed. Please disabuse yourself of any notion that the Pres. could not have told AG - no we will not persecute MSFT for being the champion of software and not kicking in enough to the DNC. The DOJ is a part of the executive branch they take their orders from the Chief Exec.. Now they are going back to the White House to ask what do we do now boss? When are you going to get it this is the most corrupt political machine that this country has ever seen and what they lack in judgement and finesse they make up for with raw brutish and vindictive power.JFD
