We're getting into semantics here. Important semantics, but semantics nonetheless. The fact is that DSS's largest customer has seen enough of SDLT that they feel they can go out on something of a limb and affirm strong support for it. Ditto for the major library companies. That pokes at least some holes in the "SDLT doesn't work" nonsense that some of DSS's competition (or at least their supporters) has been whispering in order to sow doubt in the marketplace.

Now if that rumor on the Yahoo thread that Dell will also soon announce their support of SDLT proves true, we may even get up into the 20s again. And if people figure out that all of the storage systems that are projected to be sold over the next 5 years require backup, and connect that dot with the dot that DSS provides a lot of that backup, things could get interesting around here. Imagine if DSS gets half the PSR or PE of, say, Emulex, or QLogic.... Hey, guys, I'm off to dream for a few minutes.
