<Arctic ice melting is that it could, counterintuitively, lead to a new Ice Age> The real concern is that all the climate researchers in universities would have to get real jobs if they didn't have this to keep the research dollars, conference and salaries rolling in.

They want it both ways. Comfortable travel in 747s causes overheating and overcooling. So whatever we do, it's bad. So we should all stay in the stone age and just enjoy the natural cycles of freezing and thawing as flora advances and retreats and CO2 increases and reduces. Without the 747s, how are we supposed to keep up with Canada Geese when the climate changes?

Anyway, if there was a problem with CO2 from burning oil, it could all just be compressed and buried 400m under the ocean where it would stay a liquid. That would add a 20% energy penalty and one thing the universe is NOT short of is energy.

Living on earth is like living in a galactic furnace, with white hot particles swirling around us and we luckily inhabit a cool zone. We have one of those white hot particles so close to us that we get burned in its direct light. [Unless we wisely selected plenty of melanin in our parentage to protect us - bring on CDNA!! There'll be a monster market for CDNA. It will make CDMA look like a trivial joke].

This is an official SI call for advice on any company which is hot on the CDNA trail. Affymetrix is selling the shovels to the gold rush. I want the gold in them thar hills.

Those Swedes/Finns and now Norwegians seem to be onto this modern stuff.
