Re: guess it all depends on your definition of "near universal adoption." Touche - the summed press releases about the glories of DDR and all of the upcoming chipsets sound a lot like the rambus PR push of the last year that I've been deriding. Your point is well made. I do think that the variety of companies that made that decision (to develop DDR chipsets) is better evidence of DDR being a more suitable technology - but, it is still all in the future at this point.
