Well I for one have an account form for scottrade in the mail right now. The main reason is, AMTD's trading is ridiculous. For example, I bought CSRE this morning. When I first put the order in, the bid was 6 7/16. I waited for 10 1/2 minutes while the trade was pending. What the heck. I got the money in the account and it is a marginable stock. So after my wait (which is the amount of time I wanted to hold them in the first place) I get in at 6 13/16. Last week on Wednesday I wanted to buy DPAC and sell two other stocks. It took nine minutes to get the three trades through the system. DPAC went from 5 to 5 9/16. I should have been in around 5 3/16. Their site sux. Real time quotes??? Bull crap. They might be real time, but at what point do you get them. When you first push go, or the three minutes after you push go. Then sometimes their quote system is down. Then you can't even trade a stock. Now that really sux. How many hundreds have I lost trying to sell a stock, when i couldn't because their quote system was down. AMTD has become a very laughable joke in the last 9 months. That's how long I've been a member and it gets worse every day. They need about three times the computing power to handle their customers. Their response to email questions is "we're working on an upgrade" That's been the same response for six months.
