If the list is supposed to include the 100 most influential (positive effect?) persons of the century -- David Bowie, in my opinion is hardly a LION -- at best, a gnat :-)

And, FWIW, I'd have trouble putting a positive label on "grunge".

If one of Bowie's contributions was to influence Kurt Cobain, how is that a plus? I recall a Kurt Cobain video that showed a crucified man in a pope hat, then some crows come along and roost on his arms and on the crossbeam, then a small girl in a Ku Klux Klan costume (sans mask) comes skipping along spreading flower petals in front of the crucified man.

What type of edifice building do you suppose was going on here?
