LindyBill,

One of the best things about reading all of the prior posts was to see how you worked in real time and be able to jump ahead in time and see the results. I really admire your decisiveness. I had no intention of selling MSFT, but I understood why you did and decided that it made sense for me as well. This was not done in a desire to mimic you, but because of the rational arguments you presented.

I disposed of CMGI last week. I bought it last spring, saw it go up a little, and then down and stay below water ever since. I was planning on waiting until next April before deciding whether to keep or sell, in part to see if the delta could turn green. Your advice to someone was to pretend that you did not own it and to decide if you had the cash equivalent to its current worth , would you buy it today. I decided to take my loss on CMGI and buy Q with it instead.

Last week I looked like a genius for doing that. This week Q has dropped and CMGI has jumped. I have a small twinge of regret but I will get over it. The wisdom of taking Path A or Path B depends on the time scale of the evaluation. I'll put CMGI out of mind for at least a few more months.

BTW, when you go dancing do you ever foxtrot, waltz, tango, cha-cha, etc. or do you Lindy 100%? I bet I know the answer.

Greg
