CPQ buying handset division makes one heck of a lot of sense. CPQ needs something new to do, for sure. Hmmmmmm....

C&W , Compaq form global e-business venture

LONDON, Nov 18 (Reuters) - British telecoms group Cable and Wirelss Plc said on Thursday it had formed a global
relationship with Compaq Computer Corp (NYSE:CPQ - news) to provide small and medium- sized companies with
e-business solutions.

C&W said the two companies planned to commit $500 million to the venture over the next five years.
