Dell Recalls 12,000 Computers Over Virus Scare, Newspaper Says

Dublin, Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Dell Computer Corp., the
world's biggest direct seller of personal computers, suspended
work at its Irish plant for at least two working days and
recalled 12,000 computers to check for viruses, the Irish Times
reported. The newspaper quoted an industry source as saying the
delay could have cost Dell as much as 14 million punts ($18.5
million). All computers which could have been infected with the
so-called Fun-Love virus have been recalled, the newspaper quoted
a spokesman as saying.

Dell's Limerick operations provide computers for Europe,
the Middle East and Africa.
