Merrill Lynch upped the Nokia target to 170 Euros - from 120 Euros. What makes this ominous is the status of ML telecom recommendations as a traditional contrarian indicator. See their earlier Nokia downgrade timings and plot that aginst the NOK share price and you see what I mean.

I'm more enthusiastic about the *two* Philippine GPRS deals. Both included GSM expansions and one included a WAP solution. This valu-added GSM stuff is picking up steam in Asia.

Pekka - as far as I know, both Ericsson's R380 and Motorola's spring WAP model include a working calendar. I'm expecting the same from Nokia's summer WAP model. Do these basic applications need to come from independent developers? Wouldn't most consumers just be happy with a basic organizer and calendar bundled in?
