It talks to your trading partners and gets info that enables you to make manufacturing decisions. Not transaction based or anything. Then there is the new tradematrix site/product... tradematrix.com Your guess is as good as mine as to what their intentions are with this... they are already connected (integrated, actually) to the erp so they have a leg up in a way if they want to implement purchasing... although cmrc has a totally outsourced solution which is superior ... but maybe not if I2 is already there? www2.techstocks.com I don't know who is leading or what approach will win out between cmrc,arba,i2,agil,orcl so I just buy them all. The only real commonality is that these are all back office, transaction based. Front office like calico will not benefit from this shift.
