Dear Burt: I am no computer expert but I also think their Rambus decision was the right one. This fast processing means little if it gets stuck in a bottleneck. Ultimately the Rambus ought to allow full use of the incredible processing speed now and coming. I think it might lead to a surge of computer sales. I know I will be one. JDN

Burt, re: beautiful semiconductor plant

It seems there is really only one question to answer in regards to Intel's quarter. With demand exceeding supply across all products, how much additional production can Intel squeeze out of it's manufacturing? 2%, 5%, 10%, 20%?

The negative answer would be that when they gave guidance, they were assuming running 100%, and they will not be able to ship to any of the excess demand.

I noted that process boy said he was going to be very busy, and not able to spend as much time on the thread. GO PROCESS BOY <g>!

Seriously, maybe someone who is familiar with MP manufacturing can give us an idea of how flexible production output is.
