Just an attempt to get a discussion of an actual issue going; I'm tired of being threatened with lumber. It's a simple, two-stage dividend discount model, as you'll find in any introduction to valuation. FWIW, I'm a Giants fan; perhaps that explains it. <g> I'm not against technology stocks (made a bundle on AMD this month), I just don't get where some are trading. Cheers, -mb

>>I mean when do the naysayers of the best high tech stocks just throw in the towel? Kind of like betting against the NY Yankees the past 4 years.<<

They will NEVER throw in the towel, because they will always be able to show you a stock that did better than whatever big-cap you are talking about. I had someone on the AMD thread tell me that I was crazy to have money in Intel because there were so many NAS stocks that had done better. 37% in last 12 months was not good enough for him. Of course, the hilarious thing is that these guys can only pick the better stocks in their rear-view mirrors.

I was flamed on the AMD thread for living in a country where I get more for my retirement dollar than I would in the US. I didn't respond because I realize getting more for your dollar is a concept that has not caught on with the AMDroids.

Regards,

Frank
