Newest Division to Offer Service in Phoenix Market, January 2000
PHOENIX, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- iBIZ Technology Corp.(TM) (OTC Bulletin Board: IBIZ - news), a Phoenix-based manufacturer of ''small-footprint'' computer systems and peripherals, announced today that they have secured a national contract to offer DSL services. The contract with NorthPoint Communications (Nasdaq: NPNT - news) grants iBIZ reseller status in offering digital subscriber line (DSL), high-speed communication connections.
iBIZ Technology will initially offer the service in its Phoenix home market, with a planned regional and national deployment. DSL service is an ideal complement to its computer products and existing network services division.
''We are extremely pleased to announce the signing of this agreement with NorthPoint Communications. This important addition to our product line gives us the ability to offer our customers a complete network solution from wallplate to desktop,'' says Ken Schilling, president
and CEO of iBIZ Technology Corp. ''With Internet and network connectivity becoming so critical in the computer industry, this agreement to offer DSL service positions iBIZ at the forefront of network solution providers. Our ability to offer high- speed, broadband connectivity gives iBIZ an opportunity to enhance our products and expand our customer base.
''We have a very aggressive marketing plan developed to maximize our local and regional deployment and have set the stage for a nationwide expansion. NorthPoint has recently signed agreements with Yahoo! and Microsoft, and is one of the most visible DSL providers in the
country,'' adds Schilling. ''We look forward to a long and profitable working relationship.''
NorthPoint Communications, based in San Francisco, is a leading DSL provider in the United States, delivering DSL service to 31 major metropolitan areas. NorthPoint DSL is available in speeds ranging from 144kbps to 1.5mbps, comparable to T-1 service. DSL technology utilizes the phone carriers' existing copper wiring to deliver reliable, always-on Internet connectivity. DSL offers customers cost effective, high-speed access to the Internet and wide area networks that is an ideal alternative to expensive T-1 and frame relay networks.
iBIZ will offer digital subscriber line service directly to its existing customer base that includes banking and financial service companies. It has also developed a program that will allow selected

''We are excited about the exclusivity offered by the NorthPoint agreement. We believe NorthPoint has deployed a superior technology solution. Additionally, NorthPoint's partnerships with companies
such as Microsoft and Yahoo! set it apart as a true industry leader,'' says Schilling.
