[GST Telecom Says It Has Enough Cash To Fund Operations Through March]

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- GST Telecommunications Inc. said in its most recent quarterly report it believes it has enough cash, cash equivalents and investments to fund operations through March.

GST said in the report, filed Nov. 15, with the Securities and Exchange Commission, that it had cash, cash equivalents and investments of about $174.5 million as of Sept. 30.

GST (GSTX), a Vancouver, Wash.-based telecommunications networks operator and developer in the West and Hawaii, said divestitures and "other management actions" may prolong the company's capital availability through at least fiscal 2000.

In the company's previous quarterly report, the company said it had enough cash to get through 1999.
