But CheckFree Chief Executive Pete Kight and other senior officials began on Thursday a brief road show to discuss plans to offer $100 million in seven-year convertible subordinated notes.

Hope their afternoon stop has as much impact as their morning stop!

A company spokeswoman told Reuters that CheckFree had not released any statements early in the day to warrant the rise in the company's stock.

Seems that maybe this is being read as, "We are not saying that there is no reason for the runup".

OR, someboday is saying, Let's take this price up fast and get rid of some of this sh*t we bought during the breather!
