Dan, <It seems to be a bit self-serving (for Toshiba)>

Isn't everyone? Micron, Intel, AMD, Samsung, Via, etc.

<Can we assume that by 2002 both Rambus and DDR are gone, having been replaced by FCRAM in the remainder of the categories?>

I don't know the details of FCRAM. If it really is an improvement to the DRAM core, perhaps it can be paired up with Rambus or DDR-II technologies to create the Next Big Thing (tm) in DRAM.

Dan,

It seems to be a bit self-serving (for Toshiba). Can we assume that by 2002 both Rambus and DDR are gone, having been replaced by FCRAM in the remainder of the categories?

That does seem to be pretty much the Toshiba view of the progression of memory types.

You mean kind of like NEC's view of VCDRAM?
