Pinecrest is Timna follow-on. My understanding (as of about 6 months back) was that it would use CuMine core but now the program seems to be so far behind that may not be valid.

Since the CuMine/RDRAM fiasco began Intel has been taking a hard look at where they want to go and judging by what I am hearing things are still in flux. Right now the single most important thing that Intel seems to be doing is trying to not slip on Wilamette.

P.S.: I first wrote about Piii+, Pinecrest and Amador a few months back and so assumed people on the thread were familiar with these programs.
