PC:

Care to post your track record in comparison with MB's? (g)

Yes, you may well have been remarkably brilliant, or superbly fortunate in your trading, but profits this year have not been the exclusive domain of the bulls. There are a bunch more stocks well down on the year than those that are up, indexes not withstanding. Might you accept the fact that the occasional bear may have been reasonably well positioned in some of them?

On a second topic, I for one would be just as happy to have you stick around. Good argument exposes multiple facets with respect to any investment ideas. Also, I want to see how well it goes for you when this thing finally plunges into the ground. History suggests that the vast majority of those who make beaucoup dough in manias rarely hang on to it. You may be one of the rarities in this equation, in which case your views ought to be perused by the group, just to see on what basis your success is founded.

Best, Earlie

PC, You are absolutely right. Hewlett Packard is almost back to where you bought it a few months back. In the meantime, putters got rich on the bowwow while you sat on your hands. <g> I will certainly agree that a fundamentalist is different from a trend follower.
