The average investor won't catch on right away to what this means for Aware. It's good the company issued the release. Today's action could be in due to tomorrow being options expiry.

Carriers unhappy with ruling
Regional Bell companies were deeply unhappy with the ruling. The United States Telecom Association called the decision "market manipulation."

"Today's action by the FCC to mandate sharing portions of the local loop is clearly a giant step in the wrong direction," said USTA President Roy Neel. "Not only will line sharing create a tremendous disincentive for investment by the local exchange carriers, but it will also disincent would-be facilities based CLECs who believe in the benefits of broadband investment to serve consumers."
