i didn't see this specific upgrade orgy, but i have noticed that lately brokers are falling over each other issuing ever more absurd targets for stocks. what's so disturbing are the percentages of the target price inflation. e.g. the AMAT target was recently raised to 160 by some turkey that fell off the turnip truck. why does nobody entertain the idea that semis at 20 times sales might be a tad overvalued? and look at those charts... like i said before, the Japanese mania was NOTHING compared to this.
