Eenie Meenie,

For these reasons I think Saleslogix may be a Gorilla in its own special way.

Geoff Moore said quite a long time ago that the middle market will be sufficiently different from the market of large adopters to warrant its own gorilla game. You might be on the right track, though I haven't taken the time to investigate the middle market enough to know.

My biggest question is whether or not there might be some very successful companies out there that are still privately held, and thus not as easy to know how they are doing in the competitive envirtonment.

I was hoping that you could help me confirm or deny this characterization.

I was hoping you'd expand on your original thoughts. If you've read the manual, start talking to us about stuff like market share, growth of revenue, whether the product has crossed the chasm, entered the bowling alley or gone into the tornado, etc., etc.

Give us something to hang our hat on and I'll be more than happy to discuss the mid-tier market with you. There's a good possibility that I'd add it to my Front Office Gorilla Game.
