Janet, I must confess to being confused about where this residential gateway idea is going. It is clearly an area in which every consumer electronics firm probably dreams of having a presence. I did a general web search on "residential gateway" and found a few items with Alta Vista, which were inconclusive, so I went to the Echelon.com site and used their internal InfoSeek search and found: news.com Since ELON has copywritten "DigitalHome" I am confident they plan to be there big time. But certainly there will be much competition for this gatekeeper and some will have LonWorks and some will not. I would like to see "our" standard prevail, but we are not even above the horizon for most of the journalists writing about this subject. Thus Sony, or Ericsson, or even Microsoft will get the preliminary attention because they are already household names. Bill I see SI is losing control of the message margins again. I had to try to print your comments to read them. This promises to be just as hard to read.
