Mike, do you have an opinion about HDR versus the CSCO fixed wireless offering? See the WCII thread for some limited discussion from Dr. Levy.

Michael,

Great post.

I work for a fortune 500 company and it is amazing how technology has been rapidly changing:

7 years ago:
we were sharing one slow pc among 20 individuals in my group.

5 years ago:
we got old pcs coming our way from our head quarters.

3 years ago:
everyone had a pc on their desk.

1 year ago:
the internet access was given to few people

now:
everyone wants faster computers and everyone knows how to access the www.

There are 3 Sprint sales people hanging around our cafeteria off and on for 3 months showing off their phones and now how to access the internet. We have at least 10,000 people working in our facility during 3 shifts and let me tell the crowds around these sales people are getting bigger and bigger every day. Makes me want to go out and open a wireless phone business myself : ).

In order to add capacity and meet demand for our network they are running computer cables around me everyday and just running one line takes them at least a half day.

This wire thing is becoming old and very expensive to maintain so I can see with time we will all have some sort of wireless access from work and home.

Few months ago I was in the hospital taking care of my dad for a few weeks. During that time I was always thinking about what a thrill it would have been to have a wireless pc available (not to mention when I was in Europe on vacation, on a business trip to Chicago, and every time I visit my parents).

I am really excited about the future prospects of QCOM and I am thankful to have found this great thread that opened my eyes to the future of communication.
