Jim, re: odd lot trading. If the initial order is an offer of shares combined with an odd-lot, i.e. if the sell-side is the first to be posted, the odd-lot portion of the trade is negotiated at a discount. Visa versa, if the initial order (first posted) is a buy ticket, then the odd-lot is traded at a premium. That is the understanding I have......now, add the "spice of life" of a trader who is either long or short and you imagine what side of the market the odd-lot will trade at.

Some people think that rules are only made to be bent, not broken.
